Are You Happy With Your Healthcare

"I am the mob!" We have been hearing people scream that remark all over the country for days now. Their videos have been popping up on u tube like wild fire. What do they mean? Who is the mob? The mob is a growing group of citizens showing up in droves to town hall meetings held by their elected officials to let them know that "we don't want Obama care" They are an angry group of Americans of all ages, sexes, and races that have researched this healthcare bill and don't like it they were dubbed the mob by the president because they stood up and said something. They were dubbed the mob by the president because they stood up and said something that went against his wishes. It is a sad day when your highest elected official resorts to name calling like a school girl when Americans exercise their right to let their representatives know their feelings about issues that concern themselves personally.
I'm not going to bash this monstrosity anymore if you want to know my feelings about it you can read my other articles. In stead I am going to tell you what is right about our healthcare system. This applies to everyone (legal US citizens) from the old to the young, rich or poor, insured or uninsured.
We have the greatest healthcare system in the world. It may not be perfect but it the best available (unless you are a member of congress) there are many reasons I say this.
One: It is competitive and that keeps cost down
There are over 5000 insurance companies out there pining for your business. They are doing every thing they can to keep your medical cost down. I know that it can still be expensive but I will get to that shortly. Insurance companies have to make money. They must pay employees to file claims, answer phones, write policies, and then they have to pay people to oversee those people and hold them accountable. They must do this so that claims are handled correctly. The more claims that are handled the higher the cost so it is imperative that they investigate and make sure that claims are legitimate. In spite of these cost, they must still get your business so they must keep cost down to be competitive in the market of 4999 other companies that also want your business.
Two: It is available
In America, you will get treated anywhere at anytime if you are in need of immediate assistant regardless of your financial situation. If you can't pay, you are in a car accident, and go to the hospital you will be treated and treated as well as anyone else. Why? It is the law for one and medical personnel in America are in their field because they care about the sick. They want to help people.
Three: It is free
Not free as in how much it cost but free as in freedom. The American Medical Assoc. does not dictate where a person can practice or how much they can charge for services. Medical personnel can live where they wish. They can practice in the field they wish. They can charge what they require for the best care available. What does that mean for you the patient? It means happy doctors who can make a living doing what they were called to do. It means nurses caring about how much pain you are in or if you grandfather needs his bedclothes changed or a shave. It means laboratories with the fastest and most accurate testing capabilities. It means new breakthroughs in treatments such as cancer.
Yes I am happy with my healthcare. I AM THE MOB!!!
