President Obama's New War- The 'Fox' Hunt

The president and his staff are blackballing Fox news. The majority of the American people get their news from Fox everyday. Ratings show that the 3 AM show on Fox News is higher than on every other major news channel. So why is the Obama administration alienating such a large group of people from the goings on of the white house? Why say that Fox news is not a real news channel when it offers news "Fair And Balanced"? Could it be because they are not in the back pocket of the Obama administration? I think so. When white house staff members say that they had the press eating out of their hands during the campaign and that the press only reported what the campaign wanted, what am I to think?
Freedom of speech and freedom of the press have are a staple of American life. I have never felt like they have been in jeopardy. Lately however I am not so sure. Talk of the fairness doctrine and now this, I am worried. These freedoms are not being hit by a few extremists as you would expect but by our very President. Why? The only reason I can see is because these two freedoms give people an opportunity to question him, to disagree with him, and God forbid to hold him accountable for his actions.
Now I know some of you out there will be saying that I am racist for this article but this common liberal defense won't work this time because even though it is critical of the president, it is critical of his actions not his appearance. I know also that you liberals will say that I am not giving the other channels a fair shake but I have and had enough when I heard Chris Mathews say," I have to tell you, you know, it's part of reporting this case, this election, the feeling most people get when they hear Barack Obama's speech. My, I felt this thrill going up my leg. I mean, I don't have that too often." in an interview with Keith Olbermann on MSNBC. There is a time and a place for and for opinions. At least Fox has the decency to separate the two. ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN should learn that as well. The truth is a great way to get ratings! Jesus says, " And ye shall know the truth. Disciples are learners. Their object is to know the truth. The way to know the truth is to obey the truth."
This is the land of tolerance. We tolerate other religions and other lifestyles. Sure we may tell you that they are wrong but we aren't trying to outlaw these alternatives. Is it too much to ask that those tolerances go both ways? I don't ask that kids be made to pray in school but I believe they should have that choice. Just like I didn't ask for CBS to be deemed not a news source when Katie Couric so blatantly skewed the facts during the 2008 presidential campaign. This is America still thank God! It is time for the people to use their heads for something other than growing hair, and it is time that our president to act on issues important to the country and stop wasting our time and tax dollars on differences of opinion.
