Kingdoms of Camelot is a Strategy based game on Facebook. Yu start the game by naming your kingdom and your character, for instance one of my kingdoms is named Abbey Road and I am known in Abbey Road as Lord Stvn. Everyone is assigned the title of lord or lady. I see many players who don't know this and get tagged with the name lord lord "whatever". There are few ways to change your name once you start so be careful and choose one you will be happy with.

The premise of the game is that you have been given a city in the land of Camelot, in the time of King Arthur. Your goal is to grow your city and develop an army. You do this by building different kinds of buildings, developing resources, and training troops.

After you name you city, you are given a choice of a tutorial, which I highly recommend if you are new to the game. You are also given the opportunity to buy or earn "Gems". These are used to buy things in the game and cost real money to obtain normally. This is how the developers earn their revenue as playing the game itself is free. I would recommend not spending gems just yet. Hold on to them and use them wisely. Follow the tutorial for the first day or to of play to get the hang of things. It will assign quest for you to follow and reward you for completing them. It is a great way to get started and build your city quickly. You will soon have to go off you quest to accomplish your goals in the game.

Some of the first things you want to do in the game are to build your population, build you resources, and build your defenses. A "mist" will cover your city for the first week that protects you from attack and gives you a chance to get ready. When building you city you should build 6 cottages and up grade them to a level 6 or seven quickly this will give you plenty of population to get gold from taxes and build buildings and train troops you should also build ten or eleven barracks and upgrade at least one as high as possible but at least level 4. The higher level barracks, the faster you train troops and that is a cumulative barracks level of all in your city. This should leave room for one of everything else. Building your wall and you castle should also be high on your to do list. The higher the wall, the better you can defend against attack, and for each level of your castle you get greater numbers of fields to build resources on and you can control a greater number if wildernesses.

In your city, I also recommend finding a good alliance. A good alliance has leaders that are experienced and willing to teach. A good alliance is the core of the game. These people will give you advice and answer questions, but will become your friends. You will keep in touch with them through the chat window at the bottom left of your screen. All I will say about my alliance is that they are the best group of players I can imagine. The leaders are not only very talented players, but also some of the friendliest I've met. I can only hope you will find an alliance as good.

Now on to the fields, I would say that to start you should build four of each recourse except farms. After you have four of each, make every other field a farm. You will be temped to do otherwise like building extra sawmill but resist as a little time will prove that food is going to be in higher demand as this is the resource that you continually use as you must feed your troops. Now upgrade all those fields up to at least 6 and then keep going.

I wish there were some Cheat Codes to make building faster or whatever, but so far I have found none. This should give you a good base to really take off in this game. Eventually everything should be leveled to nine. This is as high as you go unless you get a divine inspiration but for now you should have a good hang on the starting aspects of the game. Good luck. I'll see you out there.
